Hey everyone, I'm very pleased to present my latest personal project. It was quite a journey, starting from creating the design for this character, modeling, sculpting, texturing, rigging, animating and finishing it all by rendering the whole scene in Unreal Engine 5.
Steps and Software:
1. Sculpt is a combination of Maya, Zbrush and some baking for the engravings involved Marmoset Toolbag.
2. Sleeves, Collar and Pants were sewn in Marvelous Designer.
3. Retopology and UVs in Maya.
3. Baking maps in Marmoset Toolbag 4.
4. Skin projection involved scan data from 3dscanstore and Zwrap plugin for Zbrush, with a combination of Substance Painter.
5. Hair cards were done using Xgen and Arnold in Maya.
6. Rigging, Skinning and Animation were done in Maya using ARTv1 Plugin.
For Presentation in Unreal Engine 5.1
1. The flags were sewn and simulated in Marvelous designer, the animation was recorded and exported as .abc to UE.
2. Flags textured in Substance Painter.
3. For the ground material, rock and grass I used Quixel Megascans.
4. For the fireflies and dandelion effects I downloaded a free particles pack:

5. For the fog effect I used EasyFog by talented William Faucher:

6. For rendering itself I used Movie Render Queue in UE.
